The Naval Chronicle was a monthly publication concerning the Royal Navy published between January 1799 and December 1818. It contains a variety of information, biographies, histories, news, essays, poems and ballads. It is a treasure trove of insight on life at sea and fascinating reading. There are 40 volumes containing the Chronicle available and many are available on the web at the Internet Archive. (Search for "Naval Chronicle")
Because I enjoy browing through them, I downloaded a few volumes to store on my website. There are, however, 40 volumes, so this is only a small portion of the entire work. Each volume has two links (except for volumes not available in pdf): one two download the entire pdf of the volume and another link to read the volume online. The pdfs are very large and may take a while to downloand. I plan to create pages with some highlights from the volumes, and have started on Volume I as evidenced by the link under that volume.
